KE-Headshot-2023-1000×1000-1

Hi, I’m Kirsten. I’m a New York–based creative lead shaping brand systems and storytelling across campaigns, editorial, and product. I’m currently at Slice, where I lead integrated marketing work — developing brand systems, shaping narratives, and supporting and mentoring designers across the team.

My work spans digital and print, with strengths in creative direction, brand strategy, and editorial design. I bring a strong focus on clarity and consistency across touchpoints, along with experience building processes and leading teams to deliver thoughtful, high-quality work at scale.

Outside of work, I’m a violinist (currently playing with NYRO). Other things that make me happy are swimming, traveling, baking, scuba diving, reading, and improving my very beginner chess skills.

"Kirsten's vision for art and design is unparalleled. Her management style encourages exploration and independence while offering valuable feedback and direction throughout the project."

— Mike Forbush, senior marketing director, Xevo Inc.

"It's all about TRUST. When Kirsten calls me to collaborate on a story or fashion spread, I know she's going to do something magical with the photographs we take. And that the whole process will be the time of my life. She brings a fresh take and a fierce eye for design to everything she does, and always with quiet confidence and amazing work ethics. Unsurprisingly, our collaborations have created some of my favorite work to date. She makes me want to continue pushing the boundaries of creativity."

— Rodrigo DeMedeiros, photographer and film producer

"Kirsten took our project and elevated in a way I could only have dreamt of. She was fast and creative and offered insight I never thought about. I will choose to work with her on every publishing and design project in the future because so exceeded our needs and expectations. She’s also kind. That quality in and of itself is rare and refreshing coupled with her incredible talents."

— Danielle Kartes, author and television personality

"If I ever had the opportunity to hire Kirsten to work for me again, I wouldn't hesitate for even a second. Sure, Kirsten has top-notch creative and design skills. She also has the ability to work with all kinds of personality types, doesn't ever let ego get in the way, and is incredibly focused on solving both the design and business challenges. Oh, and I can't forget to mention her writing and editing skills — useful both on the off chance that you need someone to pinch hit as a headline writer, but more to the point, she actually reads the copy and reflects that in her design. To summarize, I've worked with some great designers and Kirsten is at the top of that list. She's a pro."

— Josh Jensen, vice president for communications, Oberlin College
